Yoga day: Exploring the chakras

Want to know what a chakra is? Join us for this retreat day, chill out and find out.

This yoga day will be based on the chakras - an ancient way of explaining how energy moves through the body. We’ll be learning a little about how the chakras influence lots of things (like emotions) as well the physical body, and how over-active or blocked chakras can be problematic, and what to do about it. There’ll be some physical moves and sequences, pranayama (breathing practice) and meditation/relaxation including a gong session with Livtar Kaur. And there’ll be plenty of time for socialising with like-minded people too, of course!

The day is suitable for all levels of ability, but do get in touch if you have any specific questions or concerns. If you’re interested, but fear an entire day of yoga might be boring/too strenuous/too difficult, maybe you should try it. Sessions will be less intense than the average class, with plenty of variety - and don’t forget, you’re not obliged to do anything you don’t want to. Most people are surprised how quickly the day passes.

Venue

Take a break from your usual weekend routine at pretty and peaceful St Peter’s Place, Fishbourne. A little haven of tranquility close to the heart of Chichester, St Peter’s Place has lots of space indoors and outdoors, including a large car park. There’s a bus stop at the bottom of the drive or you can walk from Chichester or Fishbourne railway stations. It’s close to the Tesco roundabout, just past Apuldram Lane.

£50 includes a vegetarian lunch, hot and cold drinks and all tuition.
